"This show was one of the highlights of the year for our kids. You have really tapped into something positive and powerful that kids crave, something that is uniquely uplifting and fun for them. We appreciate it so much, and recognize it's groups like yours that make our community such a great place to live. Again, we can't thank you guys enough."

"I absolutely love doing [these] musicals. They have helped my social skills, confidence skills, memorizing skills, acting skills, I could go on and on. They've helped me be who I am, be confident, try harder, and not be afraid to do something I wouldn't usually do. I'm so glad that I could be a part of this great opportunity."

"I love how the focus is on the kids and giving them opportunities to learn, grow, and make friends. I have been raving to family and friends (and anyone who will listen) how awesome OMYT is.
We have tried lots of various performing groups/experiences, but none have been so uplifting and focused on the youth and making it a great experience for them. I love that you create a safe, uplifting, positive environment and show. My husband commented that it's kind of like a musical theater FSY or EFY.
I feel like what you create is exactly what the arts should be but is rarely seen -
uplifting, funny, and an opportunity to grow for those involved."

ABOUT OMYT
Founded in 2010, Oquirrh Mountain Youth Theater produces a Broadway Revue show each spring featuring youth from around South Salt Lake Valley. With a flexible rehearsal schedule, performers learn solos, duets, small group and ensemble numbers from a wide variety of Broadway shows and
tie them together with a storyline, narration, and choreography.
Whether you're new to theater or have been involved in productions for years, OMYT Company provides an awesome chance to build friendships between young performers in the area and to foster a love for music and performing.
We hope you join us!

Oquirrh Mountain Youth Theater GOALS:
1. Confidence - Cater parts to individual youth that will help them grow and boost their confidence/self-esteem in all areas of their lives.
2. Team Work - Let participants be a part of a team and teach them to support one another and celebrate each other’s successes.
3. Music Theater Workshop - Help participants learn more about how a theater group works (correct vocal technique, dance & acting training) and give them experience to build on whether they are new to the arts or have been involved in theater for years.
4. Spiritual Power in Music - Help the youth and families involved feel the power and spirit within good, uplifting music in a faith-based setting so they can recognize all things virtuous, of good report or praiseworthy elsewhere in their lives.
